What Chemsha is
Chemsha is a football quiz played between friends. There are no prizes of any value, no stakes and no predictions of real results. It is run by Textpie Africa LTD.
Who can play
Players must be 18 or over.
What you pay
Chemsha is a daily subscription: KES 10 a day, charged to your Safaricom airtime after you agree on Safaricom's consent page. It renews every day until you unsubscribe, which you can do at any time from your account. If there is not enough airtime the charge is tried again, and you can play once it goes through. If you join through a friend's link your first 24 hours are included, once per number and once per device.
What we keep
A nickname, a club, a language, your match runs and your phone number, stored encrypted. We never ask for a real name, an email address or a location.
What we share
Link previews and tables show your nickname and club. Nothing shared ever shows a phone number. There are no third-party trackers or advertising.
How long we keep it
Payment records for 5 years. Match runs and product events for 13 months. One-time code logs for 6 months. A deleted profile is anonymised within 30 days. A number that has subscribed stays on a ledger, linked to no name, so included time cannot be claimed twice.
Your rights
You can see, correct and delete your data from your account page or through support.
Who you play
Your opponents are friends, earlier runs by other players, and house players: regulars played by the computer, with their own names and skill levels.
